The internet article altar Part 2
Well hello it is me again, this is part 2 or a simple extension of the previous article Back to the internet article altar and hopefully if I am able to avoid meandering too much, you the reader may actually benefit from it. Back in the day then, April 22, to be exact, I mentioned the intent and what I wanted to do, well I eventually purchased the new domain but have since not added anything to the site but the future awaits. That is the internet blog site, to be, for internet development discussions such as this. Since the article mentioned I shot out something on that running phenom Usian Bolt and now with this article I return to chatting a little about internet development. Let it be known I develop far too many portals and far too many sites and as mentioned I came into this 'game' due to necessity forced on me by living in a foreign country. Though it is the best thing that has ever happened to me though, because working with the internet provides a freedom unknown before, that is until Al Gore blessed us with his invention. There are no short cuts in this game and believe me these days there are even less 'shortcuts' than before, the days of a quick buck to be made via Adsense are drying up quicker than the Gobi desert. The days of all the sprouting MFA (Made for Adsense) sites hogging the cash cow are being worked on by Google and we are forever seeing the value of CONTENT Content is King and Queen for that matter, depending on whether you dress right or left. I for long have believed in content and when developing a new portal I focus purely on content, the design .. the platform .. layout .. the structure are all the same only thing that changes is the individual content on each portal. So there you have it, before rushing off to get users by sending out your mail shot to visit your site, first focus on getting content put up, an article a day keeps Doc Google a happy algorithm. Keep plugging at the articles and do everything by the numbers, little steps, even if it takes longer than expected it is good to lay a solid foundation. Be prepared for when you start having visitors, make sure you are able to benefit by the traffic that starts to trickle in. Opt them in, more on this later. I specialise in forums and when I start I care squat about the users but more about the content and the reason why I care not about how active the forums are is because of my experience with users reading content and not simply posting mundane stuff which takes up space but provides nothing of benefit to anyone, try get your users to discuss a topic you want them to discuss by providing the content they interested in and can hopefully add to this I will discuss these issues and matters in further meanderings but for now its Friday and most of you are in need of a break. As for me, a BBQ will suit me fine Over and out
